How do I get to Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge?

The easiest way of getting to Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge is to fly into Hoedspruit Airport via SA Airlink, which has flights from OR Tambo and Cape Town. From here, the team will transfer you back to the lodge. You can also take a road shuttle from OR Tambo with SWIFT Kruger Shuttles (roughly 6 hours) to Hoedspruit where you'll be transferred to the lodge. The lodge is about an hour's drive from the airport.

What wildlife can I see in Guernsey?

Although surrounded by Big 5 private reserves, Guernsey isn’t home to all of the Big 5. However, leopards do occasionally wander across into the reserve and there are lions, buffalo, rhino and elephant. You’ll mainly spot an array of general game such as zebra, giraffe, kudu, nyala, impala, bushbuck, hippo, crocodile and warthog. There are also civets and porcupines on the reserve. In terms of birdlife, there’s over 200 species of bird in the reserve; the most commonly spotted being the lilac-breasted roller, southern yellow-billed hornbill, bateleur eagle, and tawny eagle. From time to time, guests have the rare treat of seeing elephants or lions along the fence line—a truly unforgettable experience.
