About Safari Search
We are a niche conservation-contributing South Africa safari lodge directory. On our platform, you can search for safari accommodation, enquire and book directly with owners — no middleman, no fluff. We are dedicated to adventure, safaris, and conservation. Our unique selling point is that we donate R500 from each listing fee to Global Conservation Corps Future Rangers Program.
We are more than just a run-of-the-mill safari lodge accommodation directory – care about connection, conservation, and community.
How Safari Search Works
Safari Search operates on two clear and distinct business models, depending on the type of experience featured on the platform.
Accommodation listings (flat-fee per enquiry that’s fully vetted)
This model offers predictable costs for lodge owners and transparent recommendations for travellers, without third-party booking pressure.
- Safari lodges and camps listed on Safari Search pay a flat annual listing fee according to the package they’ve chosen.
- No commission is taken on accommodation bookings
- All enquiries go directly to the lodge after we’ve vetted them.
- Safari Search does not handle or interfere with bookings.
- Lodge owners retain full control over availability, pricing, and guest communication
- Only reputable lodges or lodges we’ve visited are listed.
- Listings include a page on the Safari Search website.
Signature Journeys (commission-based)
Safari Search also features a selection of handpicked safari tour packages, which are bookable through our trusted partner operators. This approach allows us to showcase specialist journeys — such as multi-destination safaris, themed experiences, or conservation-focused itineraries — while working with operators best placed to deliver them. These 10 signature packages are affordable and incredible value.

Reputation: The properties listed here are places we’ve personally visited, or have commendable reputations. Although not a criterion, we do prefer properties that make an impact on wildlife or community space. We want our accommodation partners to focus less on the glitz, and more on the safari way of life.
Donations: You can find out more where to we donate to, here: Conservation initiatives. It’s Global Conservation Corps and their Future Rangers Program.
Awareness: If a camp/lodge has its own community or conservation program, it will be highlighted on its listing page. We will also offer them a complementary blog post to push and market their unique conservation and community projects.
The Safari Search Conservation Edit: This is our small personal project, that shines a spotlight on accessories and merchandise to support conservation and community. Lodges that sell their own merchandise specifically to aid conservation, will get a feature on our The Safari Search Conservation Edit Instagram account

Get to know me
I’ve been in the travel and safari industry for almost 15 years spanning product, content, and digital. My love of adventure and safaris has never waned since my family holidays to Bella Bella. Recognising the need for authenticity in the online safari travel space, I embarked on a journey to fill that gap. Safari Search’s USP is that we’re highly personalised, live and breathe safaris, we donate to conservation, and we have firmly established connections and friendships in top safari regions.
I (try to) visit the Kruger annually, traversed the waterways of the Okavango Delta, rescued a foal in the Kalahari, trekked with gorillas and chimps in Uganda, tackled the waters of Mozambique, witnessed a cheetah release in the Great Karoo, tracked elehants in Namibia, explored Zambia and Victoria Falls, and the Eastern Cape.
