Western Cape

Don’t dismiss the Western Cape as a safari destination. You may associate this province with the picturesque Cape Town, but the entire region offers unsurpassed wilderness experiences in mountainous, coastal and semi-arid desert landscapes. Otherwise known as the The Garden of Eden, the Garden Route is dotted with Big 5 malaria-free reserves. The dry Karoo region is ideal for springbok, cheetah conservation projects and historical landscapes. As well as land based safaris, the Cape is also known for its incredible marine and ocean safaris, which include whale watching, dolphin spotting and tracking Great White Sharks.
